Migration registration
Registration of the place of residence
The step people remember last and get fined for first. The enterprise answers for it as the receiving party.
A worker moves to another hostel and tells nobody, and the register is wrong. That is why we verify addresses against where people actually live, not against paperwork.

In short
What it is and who answers for it
Registration ties the worker to a specific address of residence. It is filed by the enterprise as the receiving party, not by the worker. It runs alongside the residence permit rather than after it, and is updated every time the person changes accommodation.
- 01
Practical term
Up to thirty days after arrival. In practice we do it in the first fortnight, together with the residence permit filing.
- 02
Who files
The enterprise as the receiving party. This is not the worker's duty and it cannot be shifted onto them.
- 03
Issued for
The worker, at a specific address where they actually live.
- 04
Validity
Until the address changes. After a move we update the register, otherwise it becomes false.
Procedure
How it happens, step by step
The whole point is that the address on paper matches where the person actually sleeps.
- 01
The address is ready before arrival
We find and confirm accommodation before the group flies. Putting people in a hotel 'for a few days while we look' breaks this step from day one.
- 02
The owner's consent
The owner or landlord gives written consent to registration. Without it the address will not be accepted, however real the tenancy is.
- 03
Filing on time
The file goes in within the set period after arrival. The arrival date is recorded in the documents and that is what inspectors count from.
- 04
Entry in the register
The data is entered and the enterprise receives confirmation. A copy sits in the personnel file next to the permit and the residence card.
- 05
Updating after a move
When a person changes hostel or flat we file a notification of the new address. This is the most frequently missed step on the whole route.
The file
What the enterprise prepares and what the worker provides
Almost everything sits with the enterprise here: the worker brings only their own documents.
Prepared by the enterprise
- The actual address of residence
- Written consent from the property owner
- The lease or proof of rights to the premises
- A notification of change of address after a move
Provided by the worker
- The international passport
- The residence permit once it has been issued
- A signature on the notification
We keep a register of addresses for every group and update it on every relocation. The enterprise does not have to remember who lives where.
Risks
How a breach arises
Four mistakes for which the enterprise gets the fine.
- 01
Moving without an update
The most common breach. The worker moves to another hostel, the address is not updated, the register is false and the receiving party answers for it.
- 02
An address only on paper
Registered at one address, living at another. An inspection spots this immediately, and 'we moved them temporarily' is not an explanation that works.
- 03
Missing the filing deadline
The clock runs from the arrival date. A week's delay while looking for housing is already a breach, which is why accommodation is arranged in advance.
- 04
A hostel without the owner's consent
The enterprise has housed people in premises it has no papers for. Registration is impossible while the work has already started.
Documents
What the enterprise signs as the employer
Migration support runs under a contract with WORKIN, and we prepare the employer's HR documents. The enterprise only needs to sign them.
State fees for the permit and residence permit are paid by the enterprise directly to the state, with no markup.
Questions
What enterprises ask
Questions that surface after the first group has arrived.
The enterprise, as the receiving party. The fine goes to the company, and saying the worker never mentioned the move does not remove that responsibility.
Only if they genuinely live there and the premises are properly documented. Registering at an office address where nobody sleeps is a fictitious entry.
We file a notification of the new address. We handle this ourselves; the enterprise only has to tell us about the move.
Up to thirty days. But we do it in the first fortnight, along with the residence permit filing, so nothing gets lost.
