India is a route with a D-04 work visa: 8-10 weeks from application to the first shift. You travel to a specific enterprise with a signed contract, not to look for work on arrival.

What it is and how it works

The largest flow of foreign workers to Ukraine

India is the top country by number of work permits in Ukraine: according to the State Employment Service, citizens of India received 933 permits in the first half of 2026. To work you need a D visa. It is issued by the Embassy of Ukraine in New Delhi, and the application is registered on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs portal visa.mfa.gov.ua. The basis for the visa is the work permit the enterprise obtains before you leave. We hold the interview in Hindi or English. From application to first shift: 8-10 weeks.

    933 permits in six months

    Citizens of India are the largest group of foreigners who received a work permit in Ukraine in the first half of 2026.

    Embassy of Ukraine in New Delhi

    The D visa for Indian citizens is issued by the embassy in New Delhi. The recruiter agrees the place of submission with your dates.

  3. 03

    Decision within 10 working days

    This processing time is set by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If extra checks are needed, up to 30 working days.

  4. 04

    Interview in Hindi
