Which documents are needed to work in Ukraine
At the start all you need is a valid passport. The rest of the documents are collected step by step, and most of them are arranged by the migration partner, not by you.
We do not charge workers for arranging documents. State fees are paid by the enterprise.

The main thing: nobody travels without a work permit
The permit to employ a foreign national is the key document. The migration partner arranges it before your departure, not after arrival. If anyone suggests travelling and «sorting it out there», refuse: without a permit you are working illegally and risk deportation.

The candidate collects this, usually within a week or two.

International passport
Valid for at least the whole contract period plus a few months of margin.

Criminal record certificate
From your country, with an apostille or legalisation. It has a limited validity, so it is obtained on the recruiter's signal, not in advance.

Medical certificate
Confirming no contraindications to the work. Requirements depend on the role; the recruiter gives the exact list.

Qualification documents
Only where the role requires them: welder's certificate, forklift licence, height permit.

Photographs
Standard ones, for the permit and residence documents. The migration partner specifies the format.

Translations
Documents are translated into Ukrainian and notarised. The partner organises this.

Most of the work is not done by you.

- Registration of residence after arrival
- A temporary residence permit where the contract length requires it
State fees for the permit are paid by the enterprise. That money is never taken from the worker - neither in cash nor by deduction from wages.

What candidates ask about documents
The most common questions before filing.
No. Working without a permit is illegal: you can be deported with an entry ban and the enterprise gets fined. The permit is arranged before departure, and that is not negotiable.
The validity is limited and depends on the issuing country. That is exactly why it is obtained after the interview rather than in advance: otherwise it expires while the permit is being processed.
It depends on the country. Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan are visa-free. India, Bangladesh and Pakistan require a visa, which adds 4-6 weeks.
The enterprise. That money is not deducted from your wages and is not collected from you in cash.
Replace it before filing. The permit is tied to a specific passport, and replacing it mid-process means starting the paperwork again.

Registering your place of residence within the legal deadline after entry. The partner organises it; from you it needs your passport and your presence.
Most manual roles do not need them. They are mandatory only for welders, forklift drivers and work at height.

We do not ask for a passport scan or other sensitive documents at the first step.
