D work visa
The D work visa for a worker
Needed only by nationals of visa countries. It is obtained after the work permit, not in parallel with it.
The consulate decides. It is not obliged to explain a refusal and we have no influence over that decision - nobody is entitled to promise a guaranteed visa.
In short
Who needs it and when
The visa is required for nationals of India, Bangladesh, Nepal and China. Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Türkiye need no visa, so their route is shorter. The candidate files in person at a Ukrainian consulate; the enterprise prepares the invitation and a copy of the permit.

Procedure
How it happens, step by step
The order is fixed: without the work permit the visa papers will not be accepted.

The permit in hand
First the enterprise obtains the work permit. A copy of it goes into the visa file, so filing without it is pointless.

Invitation from the enterprise
We prepare the invitation, the signed employment contract and proof of accommodation, and send the set to the candidate in their country.

Consulate appointment
The candidate books a slot. This is the least predictable stage: in some countries slots open several weeks ahead.

Filing and interview
The candidate submits the papers, pays the consular fee and answers questions about the job ahead. We prepare them for that conversation in advance.

Issue and entry
The visa is placed in the passport. Entry must happen within its validity; an expired visa means filing again.

- The consular fee
The consular fee is paid by the candidate - that is the consulate's rule, not a commission of ours. Everything else on the project is paid by the enterprise.

What wrecks the timeline
Four situations we see on projects with visa countries.

Refusal without explanation
The consulate may refuse and give no reason. The route stops; the permit stays valid and can be used for another candidate.

The appointment queue
In peak months the nearest free slot can be weeks away. That is not our delay, but the project schedule has to allow for it.

A passport close to expiry
The passport must be valid with a margin. We check this before the enterprise starts preparing the invitation.
- 04
Missing the entry window
The visa is open but the person did not travel in time: a new filing and a new fee. We keep the departure dates under control, not the candidate.

What the enterprise signs as the employer
Migration support runs under a contract with WORKIN, and we prepare the employer's HR documents. The enterprise only needs to sign them.
State fees for the permit and residence permit are paid by the enterprise directly to the state, with no markup.

What enterprises ask
The answers we give before a project starts.
No. A copy of the permit belongs in the visa file, so the permit comes first. Trying to save a week here ends with the papers being refused at the counter.
No. Slots open under each consulate's own rules and no agency influences them. We watch for openings and put the candidate into the first free one.
We work out what can be corrected and decide with the enterprise: file again or replace the candidate. The permit is not lost.
No. They enter visa-free, but they still cannot work without the permit to employ a foreign national.
