01The company's starting position
The centre covered loading with random workers: the crew changed daily and some people did not show up without warning. That hit the dispatch schedule.
02The Workin approach
Instead of filling vacancies one by one, Workin assembled permanent shift crews. Each group knew its schedule before arrival and the centre got a predictable turnout.
03Sourcing and screening
Candidates with physical work experience and willingness to work in a permanent crew were selected. Everyone was told the load and schedule before paperwork.
04Document route
The document route was run per group so arrivals did not fall on one date and the centre could onboard people in stages.
05Arrival and housing
Groups arrived in turn, which allowed onboarding without overloading supervisors and without idle time in briefings.
06First day at work
Each group's first day was supervised by the coordinator: passes, protective equipment, allocation to zones.
07Support after the start
The coordinator stayed in contact with the shift manager and closed living questions before they turned into no-shows.
Project outcome
The distribution centre received permanent shift crews instead of a daily search for people. The dispatch schedule stopped depending on who turned up today.
